Our transport solution for Phoenix Contact

In the middle of the summer of 2023, agt had the important task of taking over the bus logistics for the celebration of the employees on the occasion of Phoenix Contact's 100th anniversary. This opportunity, which we seized with pride and enthusiasm, marked a high point in our company history, which began in 2004. In the past, agt's experience grew with each major event. With the 100th anniversary of Phoenix Contact, the largest event we have had the pleasure of managing to date, this experience has grown considerably.

On August 19, employees from all over Germany gathered in Essen to celebrate Phoenix Contact's historic anniversary. Our fleet of 205 carefully selected buses, including coaches, double-deckers, regular buses and exclusive VIP liners, was provided to transport the guests safely and comfortably. In total, we provided approximately 10,250 seats for arrivals and departures as well as on-site shuttles to create a pleasant community atmosphere and ensure flexible transportation. We were proud to welcome around 9,500 passengers on all vehicles.

Phoenix Contact celebrated its 100th anniversary with an impressive event in Essen. AGT had the honour of organizing the bus logistics for this important event.

Transfers from all over Germany to Essen

The organization of such a large event required precise coordination, in which our 40 dedicated coordinators played a central role. Thanks to their efforts, the on-site bus shuttles were organized efficiently to get the guests to the location on time. The positive feedback from the passengers was the reward for our commitment and dedication. The return journey on the buses from the harness racing track marked the crowning glory of a memorable day. Our coordinators ensured that the guests returned home safely and comfortably.

Their precise planning and coordination behind the scenes were the key to the success of these complex event logistics. The team at the trotting track was actively supported by coordinators in the back office, who guided the buses to the pick-up point according to their operating time and route. Overall, the celebration of Phoenix Contact's 100th anniversary was an event of great significance and we are proud to have made a significant contribution to it. Our passion for exceptional transportation solutions and our commitment to customer satisfaction drove us to deliver such outstanding projects.

From historical industrial monuments

Phoenix Contact employees from all regions of Germany were taken to the impressive Zeche Zoll event location in Essen in the morning, where they received a warm welcome. The empty buses then drove to the trotting track, where our 205 buses were precisely divided up by our coordinators according to the more than 20 different routes for the return journeys.

The Zeche Zollverein World Heritage Site, a historic industrial monument, provided the perfect setting for Phoenix Contact's anniversary. Guests experienced a warm atmosphere as we welcomed them from different parts of Germany. While the guests enjoyed the event to the fullest, the more than 200 buses waited at the trotting track for their return journeys. The coordinators were faced with the challenge of organizing the large mass of buses on the various routes to ensure that every guest found the right bus for the journey home. In more detail, each individual bus had to be registered and accredited in order to determine the intended route for the return journey and park the bus in the appropriate parking bay. The coaches were placed in the appropriate bays in a perfectly coordinated sequence to ensure that everything ran smoothly.

After the party, the guests were safely transported home from the event location in the buses waiting at the trotting track. The final transport experience began with the return journey, during which the Phoenix Contact employees were able to enjoy the sense of community on the journey.
