In mid-summer 2023, agt was entrusted with the important task of organising the bus transport for the staff celebration marking Phoenix Contact’s 100th anniversary. Phoenix Contact celebrated its 100th anniversary with an impressive event in Essen. The agency for global transport had the honour of organising the bus transport for this significant event.
In mid-summer 2023, agt was entrusted with the important task of organising the coach transport for the staff celebration marking Phoenix Contact’s 100th anniversary. This opportunity, which we seized with pride and enthusiasm, marked a high point in our company’s history, which began in 2004. In the past, agt’s experience has continued to grow with every major event. With Phoenix Contact’s 100th anniversary – the largest event we have had the privilege of organising to date – this experience has expanded considerably.
On 19 August, employees from all over Germany gathered in Essen to celebrate Phoenix Contact’s historic centenary. Our fleet of 205 carefully selected buses, including coaches, double-deckers, public service buses and exclusive VIP coaches, was deployed to transport guests safely and comfortably. In total, we provided approximately 10,250 seats for journeys to and from the venue, as well as on-site shuttle services, to create a pleasant atmosphere of togetherness and ensure flexible transport. We were proud to welcome approximately 9,500 passengers across all our vehicles.

Organising such a large-scale event required precise coordination, in which our 40 dedicated coordinators played a central role. Thanks to their hard work, the shuttle buses on site were organised efficiently to ensure guests arrived at the venue on time. The positive feedback from passengers was the reward for our commitment and hard work. The return journey by bus from the trotting track marked the grand finale of a memorable day. Our coordinators ensured that guests returned home safely and in comfort.
Their precise planning and coordination behind the scenes were the key to the success of these complex event logistics. The team at the trotting track was actively supported by back-office coordinators, who directed the buses to the pick-up points according to their scheduled times and routes. Overall, the celebration of Phoenix Contact’s 100th anniversary was an event of great significance, and we are proud to have made a significant contribution to it. Our passion for exceptional transport solutions and our commitment to customer satisfaction drove us to deliver such outstanding projects.
Phoenix Contact staff from all regions of Germany were taken to Essen in the morning to the impressive event venue, Zeche Zoll, where they were warmly welcomed.
