In the music and events industry, both terms refer to the same vehicle: a coach with sleeping berths for concert tours. “Nightliner” is the industry term, “tour bus” or “band bus” are the everyday names.
In everyday language, however, a regular coach for round trips or sightseeing tours is also called a tour bus. For concert tours with overnight drives and sleeping on board, the Nightliner is the right fit; for day trips and round trips with hotel stays, the coach. More in the coach overview.

Concert tours, festival summers, multi-stop trips: a Nightliner takes band and crew to the next venue overnight while everyone sleeps on board. agt plans the tour bus with driver to match route, tour schedule and crew size, in Germany and Europe. Group trips with overnight stays on board are also possible. Other vehicles are shown in the vehicle range from van to double-decker coach.
On request, we add a trailer for instruments and equipment, as well as a second driver for long overnight stages. Self-drive buses are not part of our offer.
Typical equipment: a filter system for fresh and recirculated air in the passenger and sleeping areas, plus filtered supply and exhaust air in the common areas and at every berth, depending on the partner operator and availability.
We agree departure times with tour management. As a rule, buses and drivers are provided by our partner operators; agt works with more than 1,500 partner operators across Europe.
If the tour schedule changes, we agree new routes and times with you. During the tour we are available 24/7, including on site.
