The day of the fair itself started with loading the van with trade fair equipment. Afterwards, the trade fair crew made their way to the edel-optics.de Arena in Wilhelmsburg. With nearly 60 exhibitors, the Hamburg Career Day offers an optimal selection of companies, but in a manageable size that allows visitors to be remembered. In advance, the trade fair crew defined a clear goal: to impress visitors to the Hamburg Career Day with a professional and friendly impression. At 10:00 a.m., the hall doors open, and the team is ready to warmly welcome the arriving guests and distribute flyers.
The audience of the Hamburg Career Day is diverse, consisting of job seekers, career changers, and experienced professionals who want to make initial contacts and impress potential employers. Through a portfolio check, professional application photos, and presenting current job offers, accelerated getting acquainted was offered if needed. The agt team of 8, consisting of 2 HR managers, 2 trainees, 2 marketers, and 2 sales experts, welcomes potential applicants at the stand and learns much about the visitors’ aspirations, career paths, and goals.
The edel-optics.de Arena fills up over the course of the day, and numerous conversations take place at our stand. The resumes of interested parties land in the hands of our HR specialists, and particularly well-matched candidates conduct short introductory interviews on site. In these discussions, both sides get to know each other better, and some applicants are so enthusiastic that they want to submit their applications directly afterward.
For the second time we proudly presented ourselves at the Career Day. This fair in the Harburg district is of particular importance to us because our company originates from this district, and we have always promoted young talents. The Hamburg Career Day was a complete success. In addition to an exciting target group and many valuable contacts, we were able to significantly strengthen our company's brand awareness and image. Plans for the upcoming Career Day are already in full swing. We hope to attract many talented young people to agt in the future as well. Especially in times of a shortage of skilled workers, it is crucial to discover young talent early and bind them to our company.
