agt meets PLANT-MY-TREE

The staff at agt are not just heading off on another outing – they are on a mission: to support PLANT-MY-TREE, an initiative that reflects the team’s collective commitment to the environment and enjoys widespread support amongst the team. This project, which is dedicated to reforestation and thus actively contributes to environmental protection, is being driven forward by agt and PLANT-MY-TREE – founded by Sören Brüntgens.

By planting 500 young trees in Hohenaspe, near Hamburg, agt is sending a strong message in support of climate protection. This initiative, which is carefully planned and executed, forms part of a sustainable vision that extends beyond the company’s own framework and positions agt as a pioneer in the industry.

Sören Brüntgens, the founder of PLANT-MY-TREE, has set himself the goal of making a substantial contribution to a green future that goes beyond his own ecological footprint. Having started by switching to green electricity and driving a small car, he is now striving to take bigger steps to actively tackle environmental issues and contribute to positive change.

Planting trees is an effective way of contributing to climate protection, as they absorb CO₂, improve air quality and create habitats for numerous species. In the long term, reforestation helps to offset ecological damage and secure a sustainable future.

Sören Brüntgens’ initiative to plant trees across a two-hectare area has been recognised not only within his local community but also beyond, and led to the founding of PLANT-MY-TREE in 2007. Since then, this project has gained widespread popularity amongst both individuals and business customers, as it enables people to take direct, independent action for the environment.

Together with the PLANT-MY-TREE team and the local forester, we rolled up our sleeves in glorious weather and full of enthusiasm. By joining forces, we planted a total of 1,060 trees instead of the planned 500 – more than twice as many. This is clear evidence of the team’s overwhelming commitment and motivation for the cause.

This initiative went far beyond the original aim of raising agt staff’s awareness of sustainability – it left a lasting impression and demonstrates that a commitment to the environment goes hand in hand with business success.
